Robert Marion Gross Jr.
Robert “Bobby” Marion Gross Jr., a native of Oak Ridge, recently passed away.
Bobby was born to parents, Robert M. Gross Sr. and Frances Gross, on July 22, 1975. Bobby was residing in Knoxville at the time of his death.
Bobby was of the Church of Christ faith.
Bobby was a loving father to Georgia Kelly Gross, 16, of Noblesville, Ind. She was the light and love of his life.
Clarence Gene Mowell
Clarence Gene “CG” Mowell, age 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.
He was born June 22, 1920, on Bays Mountain in Hawkins County, the son of Noah and Neaner Carr Mowell. He was a resident of Mt. Carmel and had been a resident of Oak Ridge for 57 years.
Wilma Jean Farr, age 78, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the home of her daughter, Jeanette Montgomery.
Mrs. Farr was born June 25, 1934, in the Lower Camp of Windrock Mountain. In her early childhood, the family moved to Coalfield, where she continued to live throughout her life.
Maude Etta Nelson, age 91, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the Harriman Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Nelson was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Anderson County. She is a lifelong resident of this area.
Hal Doyle of Oak Ridge passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, surrounded by family, after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.
Harold E. Doyle Jr. was born March 5, 1953, in Louisville, Ky., and married Carol Ann Kibbey on Sept. 22, 1984, in Midway, Ky.
Margaret Juanita Kesterson
Margaret Juanita Kesterson, age 85, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, at her home.
Mrs. Kesterson was born April 22, 1927, in Pricedale, Penn., to the late William Preston Matchett and Addie Belcher Matchett.
Edward Paul Trowbridge
Edward Paul Trowbridge, 76, Oak Ridge, passed away on Aug. 19.
He was born to parents Charles and Dossie Stephens Trowbridge in LaFollette on March 23, 1936.
Edward retired from Martin Marietta, X-10 facility as an engineering technician for 45 years. He was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church.
Billy Virgil Fox, age 78, of Powell, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11.
He was the son of Willian Andrew Fox Sr. and Minnie Fox, both now deceased.
Ralph P. Levey III passed away on Aug. 9.
Born on Oct. 13, 1949, in Oak Ridge, he attended Oak Ridge schools and graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1968. He received an associate degree from Cleveland State Community College and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Ruby Mae Baldwin Murph
Ruby Mae Baldwin Murph, 79, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Aug. 8 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Lugoff, S.C., to Melton and Virginia Higgins Baldwin, both now deceased.
Sharon Dian Sundberg
Sharon Dian Sundberg, 71, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, after a brief illness.
She was born in California and grew up in Greeley, Colo., where she graduated from Eaton High School in 1958.
She worked for the Greeley Colorado Tribune, where she met and married David Alan Sundberg of Johnstown, Colo., in 1961. They moved to Los Alamos, N.M., in 1962; to Chicago, Ill., in 1964; and settled in Oak Ridge in 1966.
William Rex Jackson, age 97, a resident of Clinton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 27, 1914, in Coalfield. He continued to live in Coalfield until his move to Clinton in 1956.
