Send News

Do you have a news tip or press release that you want to send to Oak Ridge Today? If so, you can do it here.

You can send both text and photos. We prefer that you keep your posts to 500 words or less.

We allow one to three photos. Please include your photo caption(s) at the end of your post content. Please try to match the photo captions with the photo titles. For example, if one of your photos has the file name IMG_9823.jpg, one of your captions could start like this: “Caption for IMG_9823.jpg:…”

We do require name, email address, post title, and content in the form below. Tags and images are optional. (Note: Tags are the main topics mentioned in your article. For example, if you send a press release about ADFAC’s monthly Dine and Donate, your tags could be ADFAC and Dine and Donate.)

Following these guidelines ensures the fastest publication.

We run as many press releases and event notices as we can, but we’re not able to guarantee that we can publish everything. If you have a press release or event notice that absolutely must run, please consider an advertisement. You can contact John Huotari at [email protected] or (865) 440-3009 to learn more.

We only publish event notices once. If you have a notice that you want to run more than once, please consider an ad.

We are happy to run as many news stories about business openings and expansions and nonprofit-related endeavors as we can. Please consider an advertisement, though, if you are a business wanting to promote a commercial event, honor, or award.

Note—Please read: After you submit your information, if you see this statement—”Success! Thank you for your submission.”—under Send a Press Release, Event Notice, News Tip, then your submittal was successful. But if you don’t, and you still see the form, there was probably an error. Please check the form area for the error message.
