Ruby Mae Baldwin Murph, 79, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Aug. 8 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Lugoff, S.C., to Melton and Virginia Higgins Baldwin, both now deceased.
Ruby was a homemaker and came to live in Oak Ridge in 1972. She was of the Protestant faith.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel S. Murph Jr., in 2008; a special niece, Jacqueline J. Phillips; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her children, Barbara West and J. Ralph Corder, Preston Baldwin and wife Geneva, B. Joan Holmes and husband William, and R. Sharon Baldwin; granddaughters, Carolyn B. Smith and husband Tim, and Jenny L. Wagner; great-grandchildren, Jaimon Wagner and wife Brittany, Jordan Wagner and Nikki Ellis, Jesse Wagner and Taron Lloyd, and Starla Smith and Talyn Smith; great-great-granddaughter, Aaliyah R. Wagner; and three sisters, Myrtle B. Marsh, Lucille B. Phillips, and Margaret B. Jones.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
