Employers are invited to participate in a March 30 job fair at Roane State Community College for students who are pursuing careers in health care and plan to graduate this year.

The fair is planned for Wednesday, March 30, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at Roane State’s Oak Ridge campus, which is at 701 Briarcliff Avenue. Setup begins at 11 a.m. in the Goff Health Sciences and Technology Building.

Roane State, TCAT hosting job fairs to seek instructors

Roane State Community College and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Harriman are hosting job fairs to seek instructors for courses.

Instructor positions are available on an as-needed basis and are not full-time positions.

A job fair will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Roane State’s Oak Ridge campus at 701 Briarcliff Avenue. A second fair will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 4-7 p.m. at the college’s Knox County Center for Health Sciences at 132 Hayfield Road.

Instructors are sought for courses in the following areas: computer skills, leadership, communication skills, supervisory training, team-building and motivation, customer service, lean manufacturing, quality control, management, practical nursing, nursing aide, IV-push certification, phlebotomy, welding, industrial electricity, industrial automation, and other subjects.

The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce will host a job fair to recruit employees for local businesses and industries on Thursday, April 30, at the New Hope Center. This one-day event, which is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. April 30, allows job seekers to connect face-to-face with local businesses and industries seeking employees, a press release said.

The New Hope Center is at 602 Scarboro Road at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge.

KnoxWorx hosts community job fair Tuesday

KnoxWorx, a workforce development initiative of Knoxville Leadership Foundation, is hosting a community job fair on Tuesday with help from area churches.

The job fair is at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 20. The church is at 9132 Kingston Pike.

“Knoxville Leadership Foundation’s KnoxWorx program will host a community job fair and motivational seminar on January 20,” a press release said. “Several motivational speakers who have ‘been there, done that’ on the road to their career will give words of wisdom to attendees and advice on creative ways to land the job of their dreams. Tennessee Labor Department to host job fair in Oak Ridge on Friday

The Tennessee Department of Labor is hosting a job fair for those seeking a unique and highly skilled workforce.

The American Centrifuge Manufacturing facility is ceasing operations, and as a result, approximately 120 highly skilled personnel responsible for the full breadth of facility operations and advanced technologies manufacturing activities are available for immediate hire. All workers are U.S. citizens with DOE-Q security clearances, and skill levels ranging from advanced engineering and physics degrees to a highly skilled craft workforce.

Formall Job Fair joins Career Coach at Oak Ridge Library on Wednesday

The Career Coach will be coming to the Oak Ridge Public Library parking lot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday to help with online job applications, sprucing up resumes, and more, a press release said.

In addition, Formall, a locally based family-owned and operated production company, will be hosting a job fair during the Career Coach event. Formall is seeking more than 40 machine operators and other positions for the facility at 1709 Lake City Highway in Clinton.
