He was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Mooreville, Miss., the son of B. T. and Mary Tucker Myers Shumpert.

Isabelle Leanne White, five months old, the daughter of Matthew and Janina White, passed away in her parents’ arms at Children’s Hospital of Knoxville on Aug. 31.
She and her surviving twin brother, Matthew Jr., were the answer to many years of prayer and were waited for with joyful expectation. During her short time, she touched the hearts of many with her enduring strength and will forever be loved and missed by those who knew her.

He was born June 22, 1920, on Bays Mountain in Hawkins County, the son of Noah and Neaner Carr Mowell. He was a resident of Mt. Carmel and had been a resident of Oak Ridge for 57 years.
