Olive Newton Bezik, age 94, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, in Olathe, Kansas.
She was born February 13, 1918, in Emporium, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Eva Lewis Newton.
Mrs. Bezik was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Clinch Bend Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had a strong interest in preserving her family history.
In addition to her husband, Max Bezik, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by daughter, Nancy Allenbrand and her husband Joe of Olathe, Kansas; brother, Marvin Newton and his wife Kathy, and sister, Bernice Newton, all of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Karen Ridenour, Kimberly Jones, and Glen Ridenour; and eight great-grandchildren, Kady, Logan, Molly, Tyler, Sarah, Anna, Stephen, and Audrey.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The funeral will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the church with Rev. Stella Roberts officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
