Alice Regina Lana Forseman, age 91, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, Aug. 23, at Methodist Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Duluth, Minn., the daughter of Mary Mancuso and Peter Lana.
Mrs. Forseman was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Oak Ridge Women’s Club and the Elks Club.
She and her husband, Robert, enjoyed traveling and their travels took them all over the world. They were also avid bowlers.
Mrs. Forseman always looked forward to her Wednesday noon meeting with the Lunch Bunch, and she was always up for a game of cards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert W. Forseman, in 2003 and son, Michael A. Forseman, in 1972; sister-in-law, Betty Forseman; and brother, Edward Lana.
She is survived by son, Kirk Peter Forseman of Knoxville; daughter, Lana Marie Forseman Bowes of Sevierville; brother-in-law, Jack Forseman of Oak Ridge; sister-in-law, Roberta Lana of Fargo, N.D.; granddaughters, Amber Dawn Bowes Dyer and husband John of Friendsville and Brittany Ariel Bowes of Sevierville; great-grandson, Matthew Alexander Dyer; nieces, Jill Kenney and husband Ron and their son Brandon of Superior, Colo., and Kay Payne of Shakopee, Minn.; and nephews, Tim Forseman of Travelers Rest, S.C., John Lana and wife Martha of Memphis, and Peter Lana and wife Pam of Chico, Calif.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Woods officiating.
