What exactly are they blasting? All the old building are gone, etc., so I just wasn’t sure what the blasting was needed for.

Rock formations are usually the reason blasting is needed at construction sites that my impede the installation of various underground utility piping systems, interfere with building footprints, parking areas, etc.

Okay, that makes sense. We had one of those big rocks that would be too big to remove in the yard of our Wisconsin home before we moved here. Our choice was to plant pretty flowers around it.

Very nice. I would like to watch them in person when they blast but I am at work when that happens. It was good to see the video.
