Anderson County Chamber has Job Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 26

The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce will host a Job Fair to recruit employees for local businesses and industries on Wednesday, October 26. The Job Fair is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. at Anderson County High School, which is at 130 Maverick Circle in Clinton.

This one-day event allows job seekers to connect face-to-face with local businesses and industries seeking employees, a press release said.

Job Fair exhibitors to date include: 3M, Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee, American Employer Group, Anderson County Sheriff’s Department, Clayton Homes, Eagle Bend Manufacturing, East Tennessee Personal Care Service, Emory Valley Center, Express Employment Professionals, Greenfield Senior Living, Health Markets, Home Helpers of East Tennessee, King University, MAG-USA, Inc., Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), Powder Cote II, Protomet Corporation, Regions Bank, Roane State Community College, Sears, SL Tennessee, Techmer PM, TempSystems/TSI Industrial, Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Knoxville, Tennessee Truck Driving School, and WoodmenLife. Anderson County Chamber has industrial job fair on Thursday

The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce will host an industrial job fair to recruit employees for local industries on Thursday in Clinton.

The job fair is scheduled from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, October 16, at Roane State Community College’s Higher Education and Workforce Training Facility at 214 Nave Street in Clinton (at the Anderson County Fairgrounds). New service, digital collections at library; DOE, other collections available online

The Oak Ridge Public Library has announced a new service for the community and new online photograph collections. With Reference by Appointment, individuals can obtain one-on-one, in-depth assistance with research, résumés, or online job applications with a trained professional at no cost.

Anyone may schedule an appointment to meet with a librarian for assistance in the use of the library’s many resources. A librarian can help format résumés, search census records in Heritage Quest, assist with databases searches in Tennessee Electronic Library, suggest research material for a school or work project, and help with basic computer skills. No library card is needed in order to take part in this service. [Read more…]
