Dennis James Farr, age 63, a resident of the Batley Community in Anderson County, passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Farr was born March 1, 1950, in Morgantown, W.V. At an early age, his family moved to Mentor, Ohio.
Following his high school graduation, he entered into the United States Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military discharge, he began college at the Deep Springs College in California, receiving the first of several degrees. He later attended college in Texas, before completing his education in Ohio, where he received a master’s degree in both math and science.
Dennis retired from Cisco Systems Inc. in Knoxville as a software engineer. He enjoyed solving mathematical problems, and he was known for a patent he received for an Alpha Numeric Keyboard that he constructed.
