Business owner Terry Frank, Anderson County’s new mayor, will be sworn in at 5 p.m. today in the Circuit Courtroom at the Anderson County Courthouse in Clinton.
The new property assessor, John K. Alley Jr., will also be sworn in.
“I want everyone in Anderson County to know that they are welcome to come if they would like to share the occasion with my family,” Frank said in a press release. “I so look forward to getting to work for the people of Anderson County, and it would be my honor if citizens would like to attend.”
Judge Don A. Layton, who has served as General Sessions Judge since 1998, will administer the oath of office for both Frank and Alley, the release said.
Frank and Alley were elected Aug. 2.

Congrats on some fine people of character taking office. In this time of failed leadership in our country ,it is good to know we have some good leaders being sworn in on a local level.
