A Jan. 16 seminar at the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce will feature a fitness director who will discuss ways to keep health and wellness resolutions in the new year.

“Every year, millions of Americans make the New Year’s resolutions: increase physical activity, lose weight, eat better, etc.,” a press release said. “Unfortunately, after a few months of the new year, many of those Americans find themselves back into the old habits, and the New Year’s resolutions are done.”

During the seminar, Take Charge Fitness Director Anna Dark will “map out” how people can keep their resolutions and meet their wellness goals, the release said.

The “Keeping Your ‘New You’ Resolutions” seminar is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce office. You can join the “Chamber Chatroom” lunch group before the seminar, from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

“This is an opportunity to network and establish new relationships,” the release said.

A limited number of seats are available for the seminar, and the chamber would like them reserved by Monday, Jan. 14. The seminar is free to chamber members and $5 for non-chamber members.

For more information or to reserve a seat, call the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce at (865) 457-2559 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

I know Anna from the Chamber, about a year now. She is a good person, concerned about the health and well being of her members. I have already RSVPed. And if you are not familiar with it, different Chambers of Commerce provide different services to their communities. This is simply one service that Anderson Chamber provides. Talk with a Chamber member to learn more.
