This year’s free Secret City Sounds Concert Series starts Friday night, and it features Jenna and the Accidentals.

Now in its fourth season, the concert series is held at the Pavilion in A.K. Bissell Park.

There will be two more concerts in May. Aftah Party will perform on May 11, and the third concert of the month, on May 19, will feature the United States Air Force Band of Mid America with the ensemble Startlifter.

There are no concerts scheduled for the month of June since the Arts Council will be concentrating on the Secret City Festival.

Secret City Sounds resumes on July 27 with Oak Ridge native Jenn Cristy.  The Natti Love Joys will perform on Aug. 10. The last concert of the season, Aug. 17, will feature Soul Candy and the Traffic Jam.

Food and refreshments for these concerts will be available for purchase. Don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs! All concerts begin at 7 p.m. on the scheduled evenings.

This event is presented by the Arts Council of Oak Ridge and sponsored by the City of Oak Ridge.

For more information, call (865) 482-4432 or go online to www.artscouncilofoakridge.org.
