The Anderson County Courthouse is closed Tuesday due to winter weather.

Anderson County was under a winter storm warning until Tuesday morning, with more snow expected Monday night, a press release said. With lows tonight expected to be 14 degrees Monday night, and a high on Tuesday expected at 25 degrees, “the snow and ice will create unsafe for conditions for citizens and county employees,” the press release said.

The monthly meeting of the Anderson County Board of Commissioners scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled, and it has been rescheduled 6 p.m. Monday, January 22.

The closures also include the trash convenience centers and the Anderson County Health Department, the press release said.

“With temperatures expected to be in single digits Tuesday evening, a closure is also anticipated for Wednesday, January 17,” the press release said.

The winter weather includes snow, cold temperatures, and hazardous weather conditions.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
