The Oak Ridge Wildcats will start the regular football season at home on Blankenship Field on Friday, August 23.

The Wildcats will open the season in a game against Hardin Valley. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

It will be the first time the Wildcats have played a regular-season game on the new synthetic turf on Blankenship Field.

The Wildcats also opened the 2017 and 2018 seasons by playing against Hardin Valley. Oak Ridge won last year’s game, which was played at Hardin Valley, 23-7. In 2017, the Wildcats defeated the Hawks at home 21-20.

Oak Ridge will travel to Dobyns-Bennett in Kingsport next week. The Wildcats have played the Indians each season since 2015.

Oak Ridge’s first Region 3-5A game will be at Campbell County on Friday, September 6.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
