Twelve of the nation’s best NCAA Division I women’s rowing teams competed this weekend in the Cardinal Invitational Regatta in Oak Ridge. Here are photos by Julio Culiat.
The rowing races were hosted by the University of Louisville at the Oak Ridge Rowing Association on Melton Hill Lake.
The 2016 Cardinal Regatta included the following rowing teams:
- University of Louisville
- University of Minnesota
- University of Central Florida
- Kansas University
- University of Notre Dame
- University of Virginia
- Clemson University
- University of Alabama
- University of Michigan
- Michigan State University
- University of Oklahoma
- West Virginia University
Crews sprinted two kilometers (1.25 miles) from the starting line at the former Riverside Grille to the finish tower in Melton Lake Park. The racing started at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 12, and continued through noon Sunday, March 13.
