Ulys W. Phillips, age 78, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Ulys was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and restoring antique cars. Ulys was a “pure ole country boy” and loved helping others who were in need.

Ulys was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Thomas Phillips and Oma; brothers, Lonny Phillips and Louie Phillips; and sisters, Pearl Daugherty, Mae Daugherty, Saralena Phillips, and Hazel Buhl. [Read more…]
