Small business seminars offered in June

TSBDC and Roane State

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center will offer five free seminars in June.

The first is titled “Business Planning/Get ready to see a lender.”

It’s scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Roane County Chamber of Commerce in Kingston.

“This workshop covers the fundamentals of writing a business plan, and is designed for individuals who want to increase their chances for successful self-employment,” organizers said.

Small business seminars this week

There are two more small business seminars in Oak Ridge this month, and both are scheduled for this week.

The first is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. It’s free.

The seminar is titled “Inside the DCAA Audit—What are they looking for?” The speaker is Laura Davis, president of Strategic Consulting Solutions. [Read more…]

Small business center has free seminars Tuesday, Thursday

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center has four small business seminars in Oak Ridge on Tuesday and Friday.

A Tuesday morning seminar from 9 a.m. to noon will focus on “how to do business with the government.”

A Tuesday afternoon seminar from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. will focus on the Small Business Administration’s 8a business development program. [Read more…]
