Nancy Jarvis Hudson, “Nan” to those who knew and loved her, entered eternal life on Dec. 1, following a courageous 14-month journey with pancreatic cancer.
Nan was born Feb. 26, 1955, in Oak Ridge, where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of Evelyn Fitzwater Jarvis and Gerald Melvin Jarvis, who pre-deceased her.
As a child, Nan lived in the Woodland community, where she had many fond memories of adventures with her childhood friend, Karen Pruett. Nan was a 1973 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.
Nan was a paralegal in the real property department at the law firm of Joyce, Meredith, Flitcroft, and Normand, where she had worked for almost 15 years. In July 2012, she was specially honored by the law firm for her years of great service.
