Divas for a Cure on March 4, a fundraiser for American Cancer Society

Divas for a Cure 2017
There is no better way to spend a Saturday than by enjoying the company of other women (and men) in food/drink, entertainment, and pampering by professionals. There will also be music by a local band, Hazel.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the High Places Community Church in Grove Center in Oak Ridge. Admission is $30 at the door or early bird, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life Anderson County event. Admission includes a lunch buffet, mimosa bar (two per diva), a fashion show put on by local merchants, and four pampering tickets to be used at the pampering stations of your choice. This will include hand/foot massages, nails, hair, makeup, mini-facials, henna, and much more, a press release said. The Third Annual “Divas for a Cure” Relay for Life event is Saturday, March 4, in Oak Ridge.

It’s sponsored by Team Got Hope, and it is scheduled from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at High Places Community Church in the Grove Center in Oak Ridge.

Admission is $30 per diva, a press release said, and it will include:

  • Entry to the event
  • Lunch buffet
  • Mimosa bar (two per diva), and
  • Four tickets for use at a pampering station of your choice.

Calling all divas! Get together your girlfriends, your daughters, your mothers, and grandmothers, and come out for a day of pampering!

We have all been touched by cancer in some way. Some have fought the battle personally, and others have watched loved ones and friends go through the fight.

The American Cancer Society is making great strides in finding a cure for this devastating disease. They have come a long way, but still have much to do. This is where you come in. We would like to invite you to our first event called Divas for a Cure. The event will support the Relay for Life of Oak Ridge, and it is presented by team Got Hope. [Read more…]

Relay for Life kickoff scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29

American Cancer Society Relay for Life

The kickoff for this year’s Relay for Life of Oak Ridge is scheduled for Thursday evening, January 29.

During the kickoff, volunteers and participants will launch fundraising efforts for 2015. The kickoff will be at the Holiday Inn Express at 114 Tulsa Road from 5:30-7 p.m. January 29.
