ORNL employees, UT-Battelle donate $900K+ to nonprofits

Oak Ridge National Laboratory employees and the lab’s managing contractor UT-Battelle donated more than $900,000 to local nonprofit organizations in 2021.

Most of the donations, almost $800,000, came from laboratory employees. UT-Battelle provided an additional $144,000 in corporate contributions, a press release said. That’s a total of $944,000 in donations.

The contributions from ORNL’s employees benefit 169 area and regional nonprofits, the press release said.

ORAU exceeds $100,000 in annual giving campaign for ninth year in row

For the ninth year in a row, ORAU has broken the $100,000 mark in donations as part of its annual giving campaign for the United Way and Community Shares.

During a concluding ceremony on September 28 in the ORAU Pollard Technology Conference Center, ORAU President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Page announced the 2016 ORAU Annual Giving Campaign total donation amount: $108,827.16. As part of the total donation, ORAU (Oak Ridge Associated Universities) and its employees pledged $78,362 to the United Way and $30,465.16 to Community Shares. [Read more…]

ORNL Federal Credit Union raises $65K for United Way

ORNL Federal Credit Union raised $64,861 for the United Way of Anderson County’s annual giving campaign, bringing the total for the last two years to more than $131,000, a press release said.

“At ORNL Federal Credit Union, we are committed to making a difference by giving back and helping to improve the quality of life for others in our communities,” said Colin Anderson, ORNL FCU executive vice president and chief financial officer. “An investment in the United Way is an investment in our community.”
