Basketball: Lady Wildcats invited to Nike Tournament, have fundraiser tonight

Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats Basketball Auction Flyer Aug 10 2018

The 2018-2019 Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats have been invited to the prestigious 22nd Annual Nike Tournament of Champions, and they will have a benefit auction tonight (Friday, August 10) to help travel to the tournament in Phoenix in December.

The benefit action is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, August 10, on cable Channel 12, BBB Communications. You can help by donating items.

Organizers said the Nike Tournament of Champions has produced the consensus national champion 17 times in the last 20 years and a total of 233 state championship teams. At the tournament, the Lady Wildcats will be facing teams who are ranked in the preseason top 25 in the nation. [Read more…]

Conservative talk show ‘Let’s Talk Frank’ returns to airwaves

The television show “Let’s Talk Frank” is returning to the local airwaves, host Lee Frank said.

The show will air live every Thursday on Comcast Channel 12 from 7 to 8 p.m., and it will feature state and local guests, commentary, and news. The show will also accept calls from the viewing audience, a press release said.

Founded in 2002, the conservative-oriented local show aired for seven years on BBB Comcast Channel 12 in Anderson and Roane Counties. [Read more…]
