Roane State Community College men’s basketball head coach Randy Nesbit will conduct his annual basketball camp at the Roane County campus gym in Harriman June 24-27 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day.

It is open to players from age 8 to rising high school seniors, a press release said. Special emphasis will be placed on shooting mechanics, dribbling and passing skills, driving, and finishing footwork in a progressive fashion that will add new elements to an experienced high school player’s game, and set up learning pathways for very young players. Oak Ridge boys summer basketball camps are this week and again in July.

  • June 6-7—Oak Ridge High School Boys Shooting Camp (Grades K-8th), 5-8 p.m. ($60 pre-registered)
  • July 10-12—ORHS Boys Skills Camp (Grades K-8th), 1-4 p.m. ($85 pre-registered)

The Oak Ridge Wildcats Basketball Camp starts with a Shooting Camp on Tuesday. Basketball Camp also features a Skills Camp in July.

The Shooting Camp is June 7-8. The Skills Camp is July 11-13.

Roane State boys basketball camp set for June 27-July 1

For more than 20 years, the Roane State Community College men’s basketball program has conducted dedicated, detailed skills instruction during boys basketball camps instructed by head coach Randy Nesbit.

This year’s session at the Roane County campus gym for ages 8-high school seniors will be June 27-July 1, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon on Friday. [Read more…]
