Nolan has campaign headquarters in Clinton

Caitlin Nolan, a Republican candidate for state representative in House District 33, announced in June the opening of her campaign headquarters at 134 South Main Street in Clinton.

“The headquarters is in the center of the district, which I hope will be a convenient place for volunteers to gather as we accelerate our campaign in advance of the August election,” Nolan said.

Nolan said yard signs will be available, and she has had an open house.

“I am trying to meet as many Anderson County voters as possible to hear what you want from your state representative, and I have been so humbled that you have welcomed me into your homes and lent me your support,” Nolan said. “I’ve talked with many more of you by phone and email. I hope the headquarters will be yet another way to connect with even more neighbors.”

The state primary election is August 7.

Nolan is a lifelong resident of Anderson County, a press release said. She is a graduate of Oak Ridge Schools and the University of Tennessee.

Nolan announced her candidacy in October, stating: “I want to give back to Anderson County, a place that has given me so much. The people of Anderson County—my neighbors, co-workers, teachers, classmates, coaches, church family, and friends—have positively touched my life, and it is time that they have a state representative in Nashville who will be there for them.”

The press release said Nolan has been a strong advocate for victims of bullying and domestic violence for more than a decade, and her lobbying efforts have gained national notoriety. She has been featured on Fox News, CNN, USA Today, Good Housekeeping, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Nolan was named Person of the Week by ABC World News’ with Peter Jennings and appointed Colonel Aide de Camp by the Governor, and she was the recipient of the Tennessee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Leadership Award, the release said.
