The Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce is hosting a series of events to allow voters to meet candidates and hear where they stand on issues of importance to the community, a press release said. The first session will be held Thursday, April 10, at 7:30 a.m. at the chamber.
The Chamber will host candidates for the office of Seventh District chancellor and Juvenile Court judge at Thursday’s event, the press release said. Chamber members and the public are invited to attend.
The following candidates have confirmed their plans to be in attendance:
Chancellor
- Nicki Cantrell
- Mike Farley
“This is an important judicial selection as the term is for eight years,” the press release said.
Chancellor William Lantrip has served since 1989 and is not seeking re-election. The new chancellor for the Seventh District will be determined in the May 6 Republican primary as there are no Democrat or Independent candidates.
Juvenile Court
- Lauren Biloski
- Michael Clement
- David Dunkirk
There will be time to meet the candidates during unstructured social time followed by a structured question-and-answer session.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to talk with candidates and learn first-hand their thoughts and positions on key issues facing our community,” the press release said.
These sessions are free and are open to the public.

The Chamber’s next Election Selection will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 7:30 a.m. and will include candidates for Anderson County mayor and Anderson County sheriff.
