To the Editor:
The very fact that Commissioner Myron Iwanski is outraged the county mayor would respond (in public) to defamatory comments, made against her (in public) by another county official, I find rather amusing. And, his further attempts to define the narrative by suggesting the mayor should “learn†that divisive D.C. style politics will only serve to further pit and divide, I think makes perfect sense…
For liberals love to preach about being “open-mindedâ€, but to a liberal, this has nothing to do with seriously considering other people’s ideas. To the contrary, liberals define being “open-minded” as agreeing with them.
Now that may seem harsh, and it most likely is, but to illustrate the point—liberals can virtually say anything they want, and anything they say is automatically considered mainstream and credible. The fact that half the country disagrees with them is of no concern, which explains why the country is equally divided with regards to finding middle ground on virtually any top-tier issue we face today.
Now that may seem even harsher, and it most likely is, but consider this…one would think that California, and other liberal states would set the standard for the liberal utopian model. The reality, however, is that through high and redistributive taxation, overregulation, and guaranteed entitlement these states are failing, with many people and families leaving (some conveniently at retirement) to low-tax conservative states.
The vast majority of Anderson County residents decided last August we are not interested in manipulative liberal politics. Additionally, we do not appreciate our county commissioners using the public’s time and resources to deal with issues in childish ways. By any professional standard, this issue should have been dealt with in private. Mr. Fritts, rest assured, had you worked for me and conducted your business in this manner, I would have fired you.
You have embarrassed yourself and our county as well.
