Clark Center Park in Oak Ridge will re-open on Friday, May 1.
The re-opening was announced by the U.S. Department of Energy on Tuesday.
DOE closed the park on April 4 in response to an executive order by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee as the state tried to control the spread of COVID-19.
The park has been closed since then.
After the re-opening on May 1, the restrooms, ballfields, playground, and pavilion area will remain closed for a while longer to help encourage social distancing, DOE said. Social distancing is generally the idea that people should try to stay at least six feet apart.
The park is located at 2000 Bull Bluff Road on the south side of Oak Ridge, along the Clinch River/Melton Hill Lake.
Operating hours for the front gate at the main entrance are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. For more information, call (865) 576-5187.
