Soccer: Oak Ridge plays Powell for district championship

Oak Ridge will play Powell for the District 3-AAA soccer championship on Thursday.

Powell is the number one seed in the district tournament, and Oak Ridge is the number two seed.

The Thursday game will start at 7 p.m. at Powell.

The Wildcats advanced to the district championship game with a 5-0 win at home against Campbell County on Monday.

Powell advanced with a 3-0 win over Karns on Tuesday.

Powell (7-7-1) defeated Oak Ridge (7-5-2) once during the regular season, 1-0, on April 22, according to records kept by CoachT.com.
