Victim of Claxton shooting reported to be in critical but stable condition

The victim of a shooting in Claxton on Thursday was reported to be in critical but stable condition on Friday.

The shooting was reported Thursday on Edgemoor Road at Mooncrest Lane, across from the Dollar General Store.

On Thursday, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said the suspects left the scene before deputies arrived, and investigators were collecting evidence and information.

The investigation continued Friday.
