A severe thunderstorm warning issued Thursday includes Oak Ridge.
The severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Morristown. It is in effect from 10:58 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday.
The areas affected include Anderson, Campbell, Knox, and Union counties.
At 10:57 a.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Clinton, moving northeast at 55 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts. Damage is expected to roofs, siding, and trees.
Affected location include Oak Ridge, Clinton, Maynardville, Oliver Springs, Plainview, Rocky Top, Norris, Luttrell, Norris Dam State Park, and Andersonville.
Prepare immediately for damaging winds, the NWS said. People outside should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from windows.
The severe thunderstorm warning includes Anderson County, northwestern Knox County, southeastern Campbell County, and Union County.
