Jimmy Bouchard is seeking election to the Anderson County Commission to represent District 7, which covers the Glenwood, Pine Valley, and Highland View precincts, a press release said.
In a press release, Bouchard said he is a local small business owner of In & Out Maintenance, a renovation and construction company.
“I am a longtime member of the community where my wife and I are happy to be raising a family,” Bouchard said. “I am married to my best friend, Kelsie, and have two boys Kolton, age six and a rising first-grader at Glenwood Elementary, and Kaison who will be turning two in August. We are also very excited and happy to be welcoming our third boy later this fall. I am an extremely hard-working father and take pride in all my efforts, and I want to work hard for all the families in District 7.”
Bouchard said it is critically important that the community works hard to ensure that the county’s and city’s futures grow and prosper.
“I have been asked and encouraged by many friends and neighbors throughout the district to run for office and be their voice in county government,” Bouchard said. “I am a man of honesty and integrity and take seriously the endeavor of serving you. When asked why I want to run for office, I have told people that it is time to put people over politics, and I have a proven track record of leadership, community involvement, and problem solving. Our local politics are at a divisive crossroads and we need to elect individuals who will restore trust and civility to issues impacting all of our families. I promise to pull up a chair to the table and work hard to improve your daily lives in tough issues facing Anderson County through common ground goals.”
Bouchard said the election is not about politics but rather about standing up as a husband, father, and local business owner to be the voice of his friends, family, and neighbors to make a place called home a little better each and every day.
The Anderson County general election is Thursday, August 2.
More information will be added as it becomes available.
