The Roane County Candidate Forum will be Thursday at Oak Ridge High School.

Candidates who do not have opposition in campaigns for circuit court clerk, sheriff, county attorney, Roane County School Board District 3/4, and Oak Ridge Board of Education have been invited to be introduced, the press release said.

The Candidate Forum is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the ORHS Amphitheater. It will be hosted by Dan Robbins and Charlie Hensley, voter service directors of the League of Women Voters of Oak Ridge.

Early voting begins Friday, July 13, and ends Saturday, July 28. Roane County residents can vote early at the First Christian Church at 100 Gum Hollow Road in Oak Ridge. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. You can view and print the Roane County ballot at www.roaneelections.com.

In addition to the Roane County general election, the August 2 ballot will include the state Republican primary, the state Democratic primary, and the Oak Ridge municipal election for an unexpired term on the Oak Ridge Board of Education.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
