Rack Room Shoes will open at Main Street Oak Ridge on Thursday.

The new store will be 5,000 square feet. It will be near Belk and between two other new stores at Main Street Oak Ridge: rue21 and Ulta.

Rack Room Shoes is a family footwear retailer, the company said.

It’s the fifth new store to open at Main Street Oak Ridge since mid-June. Main Street Oak Ridge is the 58-acre project to redevelop the former Oak Ridge Mall.

The other four stores that have already opened are rue21, maurices, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and PetSmart. The other three stores expected to open soon are Electronic Express, T.J. Maxx, and Ulta.

Rack Room Shoes said the company is known for its ongoing “Buy One, Get One 50 Percent Off” promotion. Rack Room Shoes will offer a wide selection of brand name shoes at value prices for men, women, and children, a press release said.

“We are eager to expand our presence in Tennessee by providing a shopper-friendly, convenient footwear destination for families in the Oak Ridge area,” Regional Manager Shawn Brooks said. “We expect local residents to be impressed with Rack Room Shoes’ wide selection of top brands at value prices.”

Store hours for Rack Room Shoes are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Rack Room Shoes is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company said it has been known as an innovator in the shoe industry for more than 90 years, and Rack Room Shoes offers a wide selection of nationally recognized and private brands of shoes for men, women, and children in comfort, dress, casual, and athletic categories.
