First United Methodist Church has an open house today to celebrate a recent renovation.
The open house is from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, January 8.
During the $600,000 renovation, the church upgraded audio visuals in both worship spaces, erected two new signs, and completely renovated the youth loft, second floor restrooms, hallways, welcome center, and classrooms.
“Hundreds, if not thousands, of persons utilize the building each and every week,” the church said. “We are honored to support so many local causes and organizations.”
The church will have a ribbon-cutting at 5 p.m. with Oak Ridge Mayor Warren Gooch. Then, there will be free pizza, other food, and entertainment, a press release said. Many of the Facilities Task Force members will be on hand to discuss the changes and some future plans.
“Come and celebrate our new space!” the church said.
This press release was submitted by Jeff Kile.
