To the Editor:
Recently, the Clinton Courier carried an article warning Anderson County residents of seven county commissioners who are in a conflict of interest because of their determination to serve on the Charter Commission while serving on the County Commission. The author of the article correctly identified the number of commissioners in conflict of interest but only listed six of the seven, including Mark Alderson, Steve Emert, Tim Isbel, Robert McKamey, Jerry White, and Theresa Scott. The name the author of the article inadvertently omitted from this list is Steve Mead, who is the most adamantly opposed to holding county commissioners accountable for robbing Anderson County residents of their political rights. County residents also need to vote “no” on Steve Mead as well! “No” to all of the seven county commissioners who have supported Myron Iwanski’s efforts to deny county residents of what is rightfully theirs!
