Military veterans from Anderson County will come together this weekend for the first Veterans Breakfast.

The first breakfast, hosted by Anderson County citizens and sponsored by County Mayor Terry Frank, will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Clinton Community Center, a press release said. There will be a brief program at 9 a.m. All of the Veterans Breakfasts will recognize and honor local veterans and their families for their service to the United States.

Anderson County residents and community volunteers are working together to make the breakfast a free monthly event that will allow veterans to fellowship and share stories together. The City of Clinton is recognized as a special sponsor for hosting the monthly location and setup, the press release said.

Future monthly Veterans Breakfast sponsors include Matchette Builders for the June 11 breakfast, and Ridenour and Ridenour Law Firm for the July 9 breakfast. If you are interested in sponsoring a future Veterans Breakfast, contact Frank at (865) 310-4097.
