The Free Medical Clinic now has appointment openings for new patients from Anderson, Morgan, and Roane counties.
To qualify for free medical care at the clinic, patients must live in one of the three counties, have no medical insurance of any kind (no private insurance, no TennCare, no Medicare), and have a household income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. The chart below shows the income criteria to be seen at FMC:
Per Month | Per Year | |
Single Person | $1,945 or less | $23,340 or less |
Family of Two | $2,622 or less | $31,460 or less |
Family of Three | $3,298 or less | $39,580 or less |
Family of Four | $3,975 or less | $47,700 or less |
Family of Five | $4,652 or less | $55,820 or less |
New patients wanting to pre-register for clinic services should come to FMC Monday-Thursday from 9 am.-2 p.m., bringing their photo identification and proof of income. If possible, new patients will be scheduled for a same-day appointment.
Patients are encouraged to make a $5 donation to help offset the cost of their care, if possible.
The Free Medical Clinic is located at 116 East Division Road in Oak Ridge, immediately behind Zaxby’s, and it is open Monday through Friday. For more information, visit the clinic’s website at www.fmcor.org or call (865) 483-3904.
