Registration for the 2015 Summer Camp sponsored by the Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department began on Wednesday, April 1. A link to ActiveNet online registration will be available at orrecparks.oakridgetn.gov.

Space is limited and the camp fills up quickly, so early registration is recommended. Online registration will be available 24/7 beginning at 8 a.m. April 1. Payment plans are available to online registrants only. All payments must be completed by June 1. Convenience fees will apply to all credit card payments and payment plans. Walk-in registration, for cash or check payment, will be available during regular Civic Center hours, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., beginning at 8 a.m. April 1. Walk-in registrants should complete an online profile/account before coming in to register. The staff will complete the registration at the front desk.

A camp open house will be held on Thursday, June 4, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Counselors and staff will be available to meet campers and answer questions. The first session of camp will begin on June 8 and run for eight consecutive weeks, Monday through Friday. There will be no camp on Friday, July 3. Campers must be six to 12 years of age or have completed kindergarten.

The camp fee is $90 per week. The fee covers field trip admission, transportation, special events, daily snacks, and a camp T-shirt. Additional shirts are available for purchase. A non-resident rate is charged where applicable. For an additional cost, swimming lessons will be offered to campers during certain weeks of camp. Dates and fees will be listed at the time of registration.

Early drop off begins at 7:30 a.m. and late pick up is 5:30 p.m. Daily camp activities and special events will take place at the Oak Ridge Civic Center, Bissell Park, and the outdoor Municipal Pool. Field trips will include Laser Quest, Circle G Ranch, Tinseltown, Cedar Hill Park, Adventures Outdoors, Oak Ridge Bowling Center, Tri-County Roll Arena, Kentucky Splash Water Park, The American Museum of Science and Energy, Jump Jam, McFee Park, Cool Sports and Tataru’s Gymnastics.

A printable version of the camp calendar is available at www.oakridgetn.gov and orrecparks.oakridgetn.gov. You can also see the summer camp calendar here: Oak Ridge Summer Camp Calendar 2015.
