Sweating Saturday

Sweating Saturday at the Oak Ridge Senior Center on Saturday will include a morning workout, followed by an optional walk along the Emory Valley Greenway.

Sweating Saturday is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. April 11 at the Oak Ridge Senior Center, which is at 728 Emory Valley Road.

Interval training will include 30-second workouts followed by 15-second recoveries. The workout will consist of three rounds of 20 exercises. Organizers said participants should complete them at their own fitness level.

The workout will be provided by fitness instructor Beckey Soave of Workout Anytime.

After the workout, participants are welcome to “walk out their workout” along the Emory Valley Greenway at 10 a.m. The greenway is about 6.5 miles.

“As with all our activities, participants should limit their activity in accordance with their own fitness and physical abilities,” organizers said.

“You may participated in one or both activities,” organizers said.

Contact Cindi Gordon of the City of Oak Ridge at (865) 425-3559 for more information. Registration is not required.
