Schools in Clinton and Anderson, Roane, Morgan, Campbell, Scott, and Union counties are among those closed again Tuesday because of the weather.

Anderson County Schools said schools will be closed due to icy conditions on many of the county’s back roads. The Central Office will follow the inclement weather procedure, and principals should report to their schools.

Oak Ridge Schools said they plan to be open. Update: Oak Ridge Schools are also closed Tuesday. Please see newer story here.

“At this point, school will start on time tomorrow, but weather will be monitored during the night,” Oak Ridge education officials said. “We will alert you if there are changes.”

Several parents said the secondary roads that had been reported as dangerous on Monday morning are now clear.

But there is snowfall forecast from Monday night through Tuesday. School officials expect to make a call by 5 a.m. Tuesday, but it will only be made if school is delayed or canceled, parents said.

The Region 2 basketball tournament games have been rescheduled again. The Lady Wildcats had been scheduled to play today (Monday, February 23), but that quarterfinal game is now scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Farragut. The boys’ game against Lenoir City will now start at home at Wildcat Arena at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Knox County will be delayed one hour Tuesday.

Roane County Schools Central Office will be open.

The NAACP Oak Ridge/Anderson County Public Meeting is canceled Tuesday due to possible weather conditions.

WBIR-TV in Knoxville has more school closings posted here.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
