NAACP has general membership meeting Tuesday, Jan. 27

The general membership meeting for the Oak Ridge/Anderson County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will be held Tuesday, January 27, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Scarboro Community Center at 148 Carver Avenue in Oak Ridge.

The agenda is listed below:

  • Opening and Prayer
  • Secretaries Report
  • Financial Report
  • Ferguson, Missouri Update
  • Education Committee – Public Forum where Superintendent of School and Board of Education Committee can address community concerns.
  • Community Coordination – Solicits committee members to address usage of Scarboro Center and future programs.
  • Labor and Industry – Black Male Youth Empowerment Seminar.
  • Prison  Ministry
  • Selma March Trip– Joint Delta Sigma Theta and Atomic City Sportsmen.
  • Knoxville NAACP Community Concerns
