Patricia Ann Childress, age 58, of Clinton, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 23.
She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing, “The Lighthouse.†She was a faithful member of Lone Mountain Baptist Church of Andersonville. Patricia also loved spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Bonnie Bell; sister, Betty Bailey; and brother, Leo Bell.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Kenneth Childress, and children, Adam Childress and wife Brittany, Michelle Childress and Eddie Childress, all of Clinton; brothers, John Ray “Potsie†Bell and wife Pauline, and James “Ed†Bell, all of Andersonville; sisters, Mary Chapman and husband Dempsey of Clinton, Geraldine Wilkerson and husband Curtis of Andersonville, Loretta Crowe of Norris, Louise Grisham and husband Glenn of Andersonville; and many nieces and nephews, as well as special friends, Janice Miller and Patricia Porter.
Patricia’s family would like to thank Dr. Fuller of Dermatology Associates of Oak Ridge, Vanderbilt University Hospital, and the American Cancer Society.
Patricia’s family will receive her friends on Sunday, October 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jones Mortuary in Clinton. Patricia will also lie in state at Lone Mountain Baptist Church in Andersonville from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with her funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Earl Johnson officiating. Her interment will immediately follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville.
