Beulah Bell “Lou” Adams

Former Oak Ridge resident

Beulah Bell Brewer Adams, age 79, a resident of Oak Ridge, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at 7 a.m. in her home.

Mrs. Adams was born on August 05, 1934 in Bonnie Blue, Virginia. She lived in Oak Ridge from 1943-1954.

She retired from working doing management of beauty salons and styling of hair. She also worked for years in sales. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Arnie Mae Brewer; son, Jimmy Alton Adams; daughter, Marscella L. Adams, sister, Doris Ann Moore, and brother, Mark Allen Brewer; and grandson, Lyle Lunde Jr. of Rome, Georgia.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, retired CSM Jimmy A. Adams; brothers, Bert Brewer and wife Wilda, Bruce Brewer and wife Peggy of Illinois; and grandchildren, Jerry Adams of Las Vegas, and granddaughter Christina May Lunde Blau of Boston, Massachusetts.

Visitation with the family was Friday, May 16, from 6-7 p.m. at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, with a funeral service following at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Kenny Raines officiating. Interment was Saturday May 17, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is serving the Adams family.
