The new federal contractor at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge and Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, has started announcing members of its senior leadership team.
Jim Haynes, chief executive officer for Consolidated Nuclear Security LLC, announced the leaders in a message posted on the company’s transition website on Saturday.
The executives are:
- Jim Allen—chief operating officer
- Darrell Graddy—senior vice president for mission support
- Ken Freeman—senior vice president for safeguards, security, and emergency services
- Rick Glass—senior vice president for mission assurance
“We will roll out our senior leadership team in phases, and over the next few weeks we will help you get to know the CNS leadership team through a series of articles, employee information meetings in Amarillo and Oak Ridge, and other opportunities for face-to-face interaction,” Haynes said.
Consolidated Nuclear Security will manage and operate the Y-12 National Security Complex and Pantex Plant within a few months. The transition from the previous contractor, B&W Y-12, is already under way.
CNS has also posted an organization chart on its website.
“Our new company is taking shape, and I’m happy to share with you how we will structure the organization as a consolidated company with a renewed focus on delivering the missions of Pantex and Y-12 with safety, security, quality, and cost efficiency,” Haynes said. “In CNS, we will all be ‘mission delivery.’ That is our purpose and the key to our success. Our organization structure is thus designed to be simple and mission-centric, so that every position in CNS is clearly focused on, connected with, and engaged in delivering the mission.”
Haynes said the organization chart shows that production operations at Pantex and Y-12 are “surrounded by organizations designed to enable and support production.
“The organization structure can only succeed with the right people, and I have confidence in the abilities of the employees of Pantex and Y-12,” Haynes said. “CNS is bringing in proven leadership with the skills and experience to support and empower you as we all work together to take the sites’ performance to a higher level of mission delivery. Our leadership team brings fresh insights, specialized expertise, best practices from their parent companies, and corporate ‘reach-back’ for the times when we need extra resources.”
More information will be added as it becomes available.
