The executive director of an organization that helps the homeless has been elected president of the Young Professionals of Oak Ridge.

Zabrina Minor is the organization’s new president. She is also executive director of Trinity Out-Reach Center of Hope, or TORCH.

Other leaders elected during the YPOR’s January business meeting are Aaron Holbrook as vice president and Thomas Dyke as secretary/treasurer.

In an e-mail message, Dyke said the YPOR has kept its committee structure, and the chairs are:

  • Community Involvement: Courtney Dyer
  • Social/Membership: Michael Stokes
  • Professional Development: Saba Seaver.

Dyke said YPOR will have a team in the Bowl For Kid’s Sake, which is a Big Brothers Big Sisters event on Feb. 26 at the Oak Ridge Bowling Center.

Next week, the Young Professionals will have its monthly social at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Aubrey’s.
