Vincent Tillman, age 51, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at St. May’s Physician’s Regional Hospital in Knoxville.
He had a very caring heart and was loved by all who knew him. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Vincent was an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and a longtime employee of SAIC. He loved computers and knew 20 different computer languages. His favorite game was Maple Story. Vincent enjoyed gardening, cooking, and karaoke. He also loved his dog JoJo and cat Loretta.
Vincent was everyone’s greatest champion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leo Tillman Sr., and brothers, Robert Leo Tillman Jr. and David Patrick Tillman.
Vincent is survived by his mother, Delores K. Tillman; best friend and partner, James Lawson of Knoxville; sister, Margaret Estes and husband Jim of Knoxville; special aunt, Bobbie Marcum of Clinton; niece, Meaghan; nephew, Tommy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Vincent’s family received his friends on Thursday, Jan. 2, from 6–8 p.m. with his celebration of life following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. David Triplett officiating. His interment was at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or Park Ridge Harbor of Knoxville.
