Lewis Estel Gibson, age 58, a resident of Harriman, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Roane Medical Center.
Mr. Gibson was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Roane County. He was a lifelong resident of this area.
Lewis was employed at Cracker Barrel Inc. at the Harriman location for 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence H. Gibson; by a son, Bobby Eugene Gibson; by a sister-in-law, Tammy Easter; and by a brother-in-law, Ronald Loy.
Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wilma Loy Gibson, by a son, John Steven Gibson and wife Bethanie, by a grandson, Blake Eugene Gibson, all of Harriman, and by his mother, Mildred Gibson of Oliver Springs.
He is also survived by a sister, Janet Gelatka and husband Joe of Knoxville; by sisters-in-law, Margaret Sulfridge and husband Paul of Russellville, Tenn., and Bernice Catron and husband Benny of Harriman; by brothers-in-law, G.K. Easter and wife Young of Oakdale, and Franklin Loy of Rockwood; by special friends, Sherman Minton, George Treadway, and James Patrick Tilley; and by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 12, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Loy officiating.
Burial and graveside services will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Clax Gap Cemetery.
