Dewey Pyles

Dewey Pyles, age 61, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at his residence in Clinton.

Dewey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He collected and loved hot wheels.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Dora Pyles; first wife, Dale Pyles; brother, Jim Pyles; sister in law, Judy Pyles; and grandchildren, Ongilee Diane Dotson, and Nevaeh Dews.

Dewey is survived by wife, Pam Pyles of Clinton; sons, Allen Settles and wife Melanie of Clinton, Tyler Settles of Clinton, and John Dotson and wife Regina of Clinton; daughters, Deandra Dotson and fiancé Jay Wright of Clinton, and Jaime Dews of Andersonville; brothers, Charles Pyles and wife Brenda of Heiskell, Claude Pyles and wife Aileen of Clinton, and Glen Pyles of Clinton; and sister, Viola Idles and husband Danny of Clinton. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Justin, Maleah, Mac, Ky, Jacob, Isaac, Angel, Dakota, and Little Tornado; great-grandchild Jonathan; and special nephews and wives, Robert and Tiffany Pyles of Heiskell, and Charlie and Amanda Pyles of Heiskell.

Dewey’s family received his friends on Friday, Aug. 30, from 6–8 p.m. with his funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Jeff Hamilton officiating. His interment was Saturday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. at the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton was in charge of all arrangements.
