Gary Wayne Maloy

Gary Maloy, age 66, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Friday, Aug. 9, at his home.

Gary was a member of Alpha Lodge #376 F&AM, and Faith Lodge #756 F&AM. He also was a member at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Clinton, where he served as a deacon. Gary loved mission work and went on numerous mission trips. He also played Santa Claus many years at the community schools, churches, nursing homes, and day cares. Gary committed most of his time to giving to others and helping his family and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, George Franklin and Mary Nell Maloy, and brother-in-law, Tom Kiehl. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Maloy of Oak Ridge; sister, Wanda Kiehl of Andersonville and her children, Michael, Kellie, and Frank; brother-in-law, Steve Perry and his children, Samantha and Sean; sisters-in-law, Teresa Vance of Oak Ridge and her children, John, Jean, and Josh, and Janis Stamper and husband Clifford of Kentucky and their children, Shannon and Randy; special friends, Jim Cardwell, Walter Purkey, and Donnie Disney; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Gary’s family received his friends on Sunday, Aug. 11, with a Masonic service and a celebration of life following with all the deacons of Pleasant View Baptist Church officiating.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.

    Brenda, I do not care that my name was not in the obits, but Sandy is your sister. This must be the christian way. I am happy that no one knows I was ever in the familty.
