Anderson County will have its 5th Annual Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Anderson County Courthouse in downtown Clinton.

Guest speakers include Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank and Curtis Sexton, a retired U.S. Army colonel.

The ceremony will include a wreath-laying at the Veterans Memorial to pay tribute to the men and women of the U.S. military and Anderson County “who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to protect the freedoms we all enjoy every day,” a press release said. “Their sacrifice is meaningless without remembrance.”

The ceremony is open to the public. The press release said it will be held “rain or shine.”
